If you’re one of the 2.8 million subscribers to Wayne Goss’s YouTube channel, you’re definitely familiar with Deciem, a Toronto-based beauty brand that boasts many of the British makeup artist’s favourite skincare finds. Now, a selection of products from the self-proclaimed “abnormal beauty company” lands at sephora.ca.
Launched in April 2013, Deciem is a parent brand with a growing list of made-in-house sub-brands under its umbrella, including NIOD, The Ordinary, Hand Chemistry, Hylamide and Fountain. This multi-faceted approach is where the name (and tagline) stems from; Deciem is a play on the latin word “decima,” which means a sequence of 10. Founder Brandon Truaxe prides himself in juggling multiple things at a time, with offerings that range from ingestible beauty to high-tech skincare to men’s haircare.
So far, only three of the sub-brands are available at sephora.ca (with no sign of them on sephora.com yet): NIOD, the science-y skincare line that’s one of Goss’s beloveds; Hylamide, a deep-diving anti-aging range; and Fountain, drinkable beauty supplements. We’ve got our fingers crossed that demand will bring Goss-approved The Ordinary treatments—he dubbed their brightening Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% the best product of 2016—into Sephora’s fold soon, too.
