Editor’s Picks: My Skincare Routine

My Skincare Routine

As much as I love trying new products out, my skincare routine is one thing I try not to mess with. Over many years of trying out new formulas, I’ve noticed my skin becoming much more sensitized, reactive and overall—grumpy. I’ve even developed a bit of mild rosacea and have to be really careful with the products that I put on my face. I have come to trust certain brands with my skin (hello, Avène) and I’ve found a range of products that work well for me.

I’ve rounded up 12 of my skincare essentials to cleanse, treat and moisturize. You’ll find these products and I’ve re-purchased many of them time and time again. Like the say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it—right?

Here’s my skincare routine—let me know yours!

  • 1 of 12 Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
  • Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
  • Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water, $9

I’ve been a fan of cleansing waters for years, particularly the iconic Bioderma Sensibio H2O formula. Ever since I started using this budget-friendly formula back in January, I’ve been hooked! My skin likes it just as much as Bioderma and it’s easier on my wallet. It removes my daily makeup with ease (there’s also a waterproof version if you need some extra help) and it leaves my skin feeling completely clean.

I like a scoop some up and massage it into my skin right before I hop in the shower at night!

  • 4 of 12 Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
  • Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
  • Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, $55

I use this gentle exfoliant every 2-3 days to keep my skin smooth. It comes in a powder, so I just pour some into my hand and mix it with some water while in the shower. It does a great job of polishing the skin lightly to keep it fresh and refined. You can use it every day, but I find every couple days works well with my skin.
