I actually had the opportunity to attend a special media event a few weeks ago for the upcoming Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2013 Collection, where not only did I get to see and play with all the new products, but I had the absolute privilege of hearing Lloyd Simmonds explain his inspiration for the collection and watching him do demos with the beautiful pieces. He was truly inspired by the city lights of New York, Paris, Berlin and Shanghai, as well as the spirit of the contemporary woman, who chooses uptown or downtown style based on her mood.
The collection features two eyeshadow palettes, two blushes, two nail lacquers, four lipsticks, two lip pencils and one mascara. The Pure Chromatic Eye Shadow Palettes as well as one of the La Laque Couture shades (38 Gris Underground) are limited-edition, while the rest of the collection joins the permanent shade line-up. The entire collection will be available on counters August 2013, although it is available now online!
Reviews and more swatches are coming up over the next few days- so stay tuned and follow along with the coverage here. Let me know what you think of the collection, and which items are on your wishlist!
