The Spongeables Pedi-Scrub Foot Buffer ($2.99 USD) is a pretty simple and neat concept, so this review is going to be short, sweet and to the point!
The spongeable comes in a cardboard-sleeve and shrink-wrapped with plastic to preserve it. Spongeables come in different shapes and sizes, and this one in particular is a wavy star shape. I like it because its good for grabbing onto for a good grip!
If you’re wondering what a spongeable is, it’s basically a sponge soaked in a special shower gel / soap solution that hardens into all the little pores, allowing you to dampen it and use it just as you would a regular sponge…only these are self-dispensing! It says you can get over 15+ washes, and that’s true as long as you take care of it and not leave it in a tub full of water. Wet it, but keep it out of the direct stream of water to lengthy its life. This spongeable in particular is a minty, extra-firm one made for buffing away tough skin, calluses & dry patches on feet. It works really well, although I do feel like I need to moisturize afterwards. I think its more of a regular-use type product… it’s not going to replace the Ped-egg if that’s what you require. Plus the scent…well let’s just say its INCREDIBLY overwhelming. I had to move it into a separate room, in an enclosed container because the fragrance was SO strong. Granted it is a pretty nice one, but either way… way too much fragrance!
- Price: $2.99 USD
- Availability: Drugstore.com and various retailers (you can see a list of them here)
- Overall: A great maintenance product in-between salon pedi’s…not harsh enough to do the entire job, but helps to maintain soft, smooth feet! Beware though, the scent is powerful and potent!
