Spring 2012 Trendsetter: Graphic Liner

It’s really amazing how sometimes, such tiny and unexpected changes can have the most dramatic impacts.  That’s what I saw in this gorgeous graphic art liner from the runways of Giorgio Armani for Spring 2012.  Whether it’s adding a tiny bit of a second wing, or going full out with crease contouring like you see here, these tiny lines can change your entire look.

My favorite part of this trend? It takes a twist on the classic and timeless eyeliner shape.  I also love the way they used a pewter gunmetal liner instead of black, and softened it so it’s not very harsh.     This look is pretty, but without knowing, I would have thought her eyeliner just smeared to the top of her eye… haha.

      I looks like she blinked and has transfer on her upper crease. I’m usually trying to avoid that. lol

    This look looks a little like when you don’t let your eye liner dry before you open your eye wide and it rubs off on the top of the lid. It’s very beautiful and well done. Love the pewter, but I’ll prolly try this with a bronze color.

    I think this look was breathtaking for the show-but it doesn’t really translate to real life. Like many readers commented, it looks like her eyeshadow has creased. I’ve unfortunately worn a very similar look-though not intentionally :)

    I’m not crazy about this look. Like the comments above, it seems like the eyeliner got transferred onto the upper lid area.

    I want to see what her eyes look like while facing the camera head-on. I would try this (I’m a breast cancer patient & I only leave the house to go to the hospital for chemo). I’m not afraid to try different looks.

    lol, I was just going to say, ‘hey that looks like my eyelid when i wear a non waterproof mascara and bad quality gel liner that melts and transfers” :(
