Less is more when it comes to the new Amazonian Saviour Multi-Purpose Balm ($10) from The Body Shop. The multi-tasking beauty essential contains only nine ingredients (all of which are 100% natural, too) and helps to care for a variety of skin issues, like extremely dry skin, cuticles, scars, tattoos and more.
The formula contains a blend of oils and waxes like community trade organic Babassu Oil from Brazil and Beeswax from Cameroon. It leaves out any silicones, colourants, mineral oil, paraffin or fragrance, so you can feel good about slathering it on sensitive skin. You can also feel good knowing a portion from each sale of the balm goes to help build bio-bridges and protect endangered species.
The rich texture melts into skin in seconds and actually absorbs quite nicely, so it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. It deeply nourishes dry skin (I like to keep it on my bedside table and apply it before bed to my hands and feet), helps improve the look of skin marks and instantly revives the look of tattoos.
Speaking of tattoos—you’ll notice the packaging looks a bit different than what you’re normally used to seeing from The Body Shop. The beautiful artwork on the label was designed by UK-based tattoo artist Saira Hunjan.
