This Or That: Balm Stain or Glossy Stain?

This Or That: Balm Stain or Glossy Stain?

Stains no longer have to dry your lips out to provide long-lasting color; two of the newest formulations include the balm stain, as well as the glossy liquid stain. While the balm sticks are super convenient, I still find the glossy stain to last longer, not smear as easily and feel lighter on the lips; so I’d stick with my glossy stain!

What about you…which do you prefer?

    I like both for different reasons! But I really am enjoying the Revlon Balm Stains! Especially for the price!

    I have to say I love my YSL more. Although both products deliver when it comes to stain, the YSL’s glossiness tops the Kissable balm hands down. I find it stays around longer than the Kissable one does as well! Additionally, the YSL does seem to soak in and “meld” with my lips more, whereas the Kissable, although it does stain, tends to leave behind a “film” and it can accentuate my dry patches and can settle into places (like the edges of my lips) that are not flattering, so when I want to reapply, I have to wipe whatever is remaining off beforehand. The YSL doesn’t do that that for me. Overall, the Revlon Kissable is a wonderful product though, and you can get several for the price of the YSL glossy stain, so that is a plus! :) I totally have to agree with you on the lighter feeling of the glossy stain as well! Great descriptor! :)

    I don’t think I’ve tried a glossy stain, but I did really love the Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stain!

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE the YSL Glossy Stains! I actually don’t think I have tried a balm stain. Definitely haven’t tried the Revlon yet.

    I’ve only tried the balm stain, but I really want to get the orange glossy stain! Maybe it’ll be a treat when I get my paycheck…
