This Or That: Cleansing Water or Cleansing Oil?

This Or That: Cleansing Water or Cleansing Oil?

This Or That: Cleansing Water or Cleansing Oil?

This one is really a situational question- I reach for cleansing water all the time, to clean up mistakes or change lip colors… but when it comes to taking off long-wearing makeup, I always use a cleansing oil.  If I had to choose one (so hard!) I’d go for the cleansing oil, because it can remove everything a cleansing water can, but that isn’t necessarily true vice versa.

What about you…which do you prefer?

I’d go for the oil too hahaha mainly bc it does remove everything including my WP mascara. I can’t stand any residue leftovers. If possible, I like to wipe with cleansing water then use oil just for eyes. Cleansing water seems more refreshing and clean.

Totally agree.. I usually use my oil, rinse, then if there’s residue I use the cleansing water to clean up under the eyes!

I fallow the same method as well. Use a Cleansing Oil first wash my have then use a Cleansing Water to get rig of any residue and it acts like a toner a well.

I’ve tried both and I find oil more effective and less irritating for my skin!

i got the sample of shu uemura cleaning oil in skin purifer at my local counter. It broke me out after 3 days for my oily skin. I try the bioderma sensibio its made my skin feel refresher and didnt broke me out at all

I’m also a cleansing oil girl since 7 or 8 years, I even tried the bioderma, but it isn’t as good as the oil

I like both but for different reasons. If I want a super deep clean definitely cleansing oil, but if I want to just feel refreshed in the morning I’ll use cleansing water :)

Definitely the cleansing oil – it’s just so easy to get your face off at night, including waterproof mascara! It always leaves my face feeling so incredibly clean but not tight and dry, but equally not oily.
I will never go back to any other form of makeup remover – it has revolutionised my life!

I prefer water-based makeup removers. Don’t like the greasy feel from cleansing oils that much.

I enjoy cleansing oil. I have never used cleansing water but I don’t want to. I’ve never desired to use it. Oil is enough for me.

If I had to choose one, I’d choose cleansing oil as well. I tried the Bioderma but it just won’t remove my WP mascara at all. I usually use oil cleansers for removing eye make up but for the rest of the face, I don’t mind the cleansing water or facial wipes. When I’m trying out different looks, cleansing water is much more practical than wipes (friendlier on the wallet).
