I’ve already professed my love for the Too Faced La Crème ($21 USD / $25 CAD) lipsticks in the past (check out my original review here), so I was head over heels when I saw these four new berry toned shades for Spring. These new colors are joining the permanent line-up to create a gorgeous variety of hues totalling 20 shades now, and each one is just as incredible as the next.
Since I wrote my review, I’ve used my La Crème lipsticks more than any other lipstick formula in my stash. Naked Dolly has staked a permanent spot in my handbag as my new go-to lipstick, and I’m going to repurchase it when it runs out (which is going to be soon). While I did a lengthy review already, I’ll touch on a few of the points that make these lipsticks one of my absolute favorite formulas, ever.
The new Spring 2013 shades include…
- Bumbleberry: Satin garnet
- Loganberry: Berry pink
- So Berry Sexy: Fuchsia berry
- Teddy Berry: Dusty rose
These new shades extend the color range with four berry hued lipsticks with different undertones. They have medium to full coverage color with a gorgeous wet-shine finish. They feel ultra silky, smooth and hydrating on the lips and have the most luscious scent (I think it smells like lemon pie). They come in a gorgeous, simplistic gold metal tube.
I love how smooth these lipsticks feel on the lips; they aren’t the longest-wearing lip color ever, but for being so smooth and silky, they do a fairly good job of staying on the lips. I particularly love So Berry Sexy out of the four of these; I think its a fun, bold color that isn’t too crazy or vibrant.
Dab these lipsticks on lightly for a sheer hint of color and gloss, or layer it on to really build the opacity. I think the collection has a wonderful line-up of colors now, and these continue to be one of my top recommended lip colors when someone is looking to try something new!
