Top Pick: Eyebrow Kit

I don’t reach for eyebrow kits as much as I do my eyebrow pencil (see my top pick for that here), but when I do… I love to use the Benefit Brow Zings kit (I use the shade Medium). It’s small, slim and simplistic- yet it contains exactly what I need to groom my brows. It comes with a tinted wax, a brow powder, a pair of mini tweezers and two brushes all inside a mirrored compact.

I use the angled brush to apply the wax to my brows to shape them, then I use the tapered brush to apply the powder on top of the wax. I feel like this ‘sets’ the wax and the powder adheres better (I don’t know if this is how it’s supposed to be used… but it’s how I like to use it best)! The tweezers are great for emergency touch-ups… but not the best for regular grooming.

What’s your top pick for an Eyebrow Kit?

Jessica. Ugh. No matter how many tutorials I watch or read – I cannot simply do my eyebrows. It looks like I’m a she-man trying to look pretty. They’re terrible when I fill them in. When I use a light hand it doesn’t look like I did anything, when I use a heavier hand – sh%^ hits the fan. lol It’s terrible :(

Whaaaat!? Really? What’s the main problem? do you not have enough hair, or are they too thin? Are they patchy or unruly? What products have you tried?

Anastasia’s Brow Wiz in the hard tiny stick form. That’s the only way I’ve been trying to do it, a man did my eyebrows in a Sephora store and I was sold on it. My eyebrows are dark and “thick”, not sparse or unruly. I just wanted to have them shaped a little better and maybe fuller. Quite the task I tell ya. I mean, I leave them au-natural all the time, and I don’t need to fill them in. But sometimes I want to look more polished.

Then you have no use for powder or pencils if your brows are thick. You should only be using (in my opinion) a brow brush – to comb them up, a pair of brow scissors, and gel honestly.

Me too!! But I don’t have the thickest brows, I just try to shape one of them better but no colour comes onto my brow area – and as you said Nancy, it looks sooo bad when I try put more on lol!

I always just use a powder to fill my brows in, but I’ve been looking for a wax to use! I would love to try out this product, especially since it has both! Maybe I’ll have to pick it up!
