Liquid lipsticks are everywhere now, and I wanted to show you a cool trick that you can use to turn your favorite shade into a long-lasting, cream blush. Typically matte, liquid lipsticks are long-wearing formulas so they hold up great on the cheeks when mixed with the right primer and set with the right powder.
In this video, I demonstrate the technique with a two favorites—Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick ($20) in the shade Mother (but there are SO many other great ones to that would work too) and Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(Cover) Coconut Face Primer ($44). Apply it with the original Beautyblender Pro ($20) and set it off with a transluscent powder (I prefer a luminous one) like the new MAC Iridescent Powder/Pressed ($22) in Sparkling Rose (which was just released in the Faerie Whispers collection).
I’ve tried this trick with so many different brands and formulas and it works every time! Plus, it’s a sure-fire way to get your blush and lip color to be harmonious. I’ve rounded up some other great formulas below to try this trick out with—be sure to let me know if you give it a shot!shop this video
