The Urban Decay Holiday 2013 Collection includes the Urban Decay Shattered Face Case ($44 USD), an all-in-one palette for eyes, cheeks & lips. This palette features smoky, neutral eyeshadows and soft, wearable lip & cheek shades. Urban Decay has also released the Anarchy Face Case (review coming soon). This limited-edition palette is available now, exclusively from Urban Decay.
The palette is about the size of an iPhone 5 (and about 3x as thick). It includes five eyeshadows, one mini-eyeliner, two blushes, one highlighter and a full-size lip color pencil. Yes- that all fits in here, making it great for travel or for keeping in your purse for touch-ups. All of the shades in the palette (besides the eyeliner and lip color) are new & exclusive!
The palette includes:
- Nameless Eyeshadow: Medium gray-brown satin
- Remix Eyeshadow: Rich purple shimmer with micro-glitter
- Shakedown Eyeshadow: Rich brown-gunmetal satin
- Minor Sin Eyeshadow: Champagne-pink satin
- Bleach Eyeshadow: Yellow-beige matte
- Zero Eyeliner: Black cream
- Overexposed Blush: Dusty rose
- Temper Blush: Soft, baby pink
- Glint Highlighter: Pink champagne shimmer
- Lovechild Lip Color: Cool pink cream
I love the idea of an all-in-one palette like this, I just find them to be so handy! All of the eyeshadows are beautiful and velvety with great pigmentation. Bleach was a bit dry and chalky, but it still had good pigmentation for a matte eyeshadow. Zero is a pretty good eyeliner, but I would have loved to see Perversion in it’s place… I just think Perversion knocks every other black eyeliner out of the water, so why not?!
Lift up the eyeshadow tier and you’ll find the two blushes, highlighter and lip color pencil beneath (as well as another full-sized mirror- now that is handy)! Both blushes are lovely, and I’m so impressed to see that they included two different shades. Overexposed is more warm and subtle, while Temper is bright and bold- so you can choose whichever you want based on your mood, and they will both go great with the other shades in the palette. They both also had amazing pigmentation and applied beautifully to the cheeks. This exclusive new blush formula is incredible… so I hope we see some full-sized, permanent ones being added to the line-up in the near future.
Glint, the highlighter, was also really gorgeous. It’s very shimmery though, so a little goes a long way (which is good, because you only get a little of it to begin with). It’s a great, neutral highlight shade that makes cheekbones pop and can even be used on the eyes too.
Last but certainly not least, Lovechild is awesome too! I bought this lip color pencil when it first launched because I love the formula so much (I really wish Urban Decay would pay a little more attention to it… it’s quite fantastic)! It’s a beautiful cool pink that can be built up for a more intense look, or softly blended out for just a hint of color and gloss. You’re going to be amazed at how glossy and long-wearing this product is!
My only complaint is that the palette was a little hard for me to open, especially the bottom tier. Be mindful when opening it- you don’t want to chip a nail!
Whether you’re looking for a trusty go-to palette for your upcoming Holiday vacation or you want to give an awesome gift to a makeup beginner, this palette is sure to impress anyone who gets their hands on it!

A great gift or go-to palette for travel! This palette has everything you need for several different looks, and the quality is superb! Love the shades and textures. The palette is a bit hard to open, and I really wish I would have seen a mini Perversion liner instead of Zero, but overall it's a great little collection!
