Even though it doesn’t quite feel like it yet, spring is finally, officially here—which means wedding season is right around the corner. Last week, I bravely set out to shop for dresses for the six(!) weddings I’m attending this year, but my ghostly pale legs were a little bit distracting.
In perfect timing, Vita Liberata is launching two new shades of its Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish. The lotion provides a temporary tint (there’s no DHA, so the colour washes off in the shower), while also helping to cover imperfections, reflect light and hydrate with aloe vera and shea butter. Basically, it gives legs the flawless look of pantyhose with a Victoria’s Secret–worthy sheen. The best part? It really stays put—no transfer or rub-off, which is always tricky when it comes to wash-away tans.
In addition to the original medium-toned Latte shade, there’s now a lighter one called Latte Light, and a darker one called Mocha. If you’re super fair, the Latte Light is the perfect way to create an airbrushed finish without adding much colour. Mocha is best suited for deeper complexions craving a flawless look with extra warmth.
The lotion can be applied with hands, but make sure to work quickly in sections because once the product sets, it doesn’t budge (similar to a long-wear foundation). I prefer to apply it with a self-tanning mitt or an oversized kabuki brush, as I find it glides on really evenly and quickly.
We love that Body Blur now caters to a wider range of skin tones, and also offers options that can help you transition your tan throughout the year. If you really want to get your faux glow on, try one of the brand’s amazing self-tanners first (like this new one that you wash off after only 10 minutes)!
Vita Liberata Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish retails for $50 and is now available in stores and online at sephora.ca.shop this story
