Weekly Roundup [April 1, 2012]

Phew! What a weekend! I’ve gotten dolled up more in the past three days then I have all year so far. On Friday I attended an RW&Co Pre-Juno Awards Styling Party at a swanky hotel suite, where I got to see awesome Canadian celebrities like Carly Rae Jepsen and JRDN. A few more famous faces passed by when I wasn’t there, like Simple Plan and Blue Rodeo (totally wish I could have been there for that)! It was a lot of fun, and the room had the most gorgeous view of Ottawa! Carly took home an adorable RW&Co Maxi dress that I was eyeing all night- I’ll be sure to post the photos soon!

Last night I was split between two amazing events, a formal dinner at one of the fanciest hotels in Ottawa, and Fight For The Cure- seriously Canadian history in the making! The event was a charity fundraiser boxing match for cancer research, and the main event? Senator Patrick Brazeau versus Liberal MP Justin Trudeau (who many say will be the next Prime Minister of Canada). Trudeau won the fight, which was absolutely amazing to see- the charity was also a huge success and I had a great time being a part of it.

Tonight, I’m off to the Juno Awards! I was able to score some amazing seats from Elle Canada (100′s section!!!) so I should be pretty close to some celebrities. Super excited because I’ve never been to an awards show like this before (for those outside of Canada, the Juno Awards are the Canadian version of the Grammy’s). Either way, I’ll be sure to be tweeting away tonight!

Also- I know there haven’t been many Chit Chat or Link Love posts lately- I haven’t forgotten about them, I’m just currently trying to find better ways to deliver each of them as I’m designing my editorial schedule for the month.
