Technology is evolving faster than we can possibly imagine, even in the cosmetic world. Doesn’t this sound like a miracle in a bottle… simply do your makeup as usual, give a couple quick sprays of a magical mist and your makeup looks freshly-applied for the next 16 hours? Yeah…I thought so too. The crazy part is that it exists.
Meet the magical line-up of Urban Decay Setting Sprays (and I threw in their Moisturizing Spray, because I think its cool)- everyone can find one they love with the different formulations now!
The Sprays
- All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ($29 USD / $35 CDN) – This puppy makes A LOT of claims… temperature control (prevents makeup melt-down or cracking), works on all skin types, makes blush, eyeshadow and lip color stay on, resists sweat, tears, shine and basically keeps you looking flawless for 16 hours. I do own this spray and it’s a bit bittersweet for me, it makes my skin look like CRAP for the first 2 hours or so…I look shiny, feel sticky, enhanced pores….but once it has set in for good, everything else is true.
- De Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray ($29 USD / $35 CDN) – I don’t own this spray, but it’s next on my wishlist! I tried it on at Sephora the other day after a long day and it made me feel totally refreshed, matte and clean. Even though I don’t have oily skin per se, I’m not a fan of the ‘glow’ the All Nighter gives when I want my makeup to last all night. I’d rather have perfect, matte looking skin (which is better in photos anyways)! This one will definitely be a must have for summer and hot vacations!
- Dew Me Moisturizing Makeup Setting Spray ($29 USD / $35 CDN) – This spray would be wonderful for someone who just can’t seem to get enough moisture in their skin…perhaps more mature skin (I’m thinking about getting this for my mom who says she wants to *feel* more moisture)? This one would be great for anyone with really dry skin and wants to prevent cracking, settling of makeup and the not-so-hot cakey powder look.
- Guardian Angel Spray Moisturizer SPF 8 ($26 USD) – This isn’t a “setting spray” so don’t get it confused with the other three…it is however skincare-in-a-spray-bottle so I thought I would include it for anyone who is interested! This is a spray moisturizer with SPF 8- something I think would be excellent for every person to refresh their makeup, all a little moisture to their complexion…I think perhaps a higher SPF would have been better though.
Which spray would you like to try (or have you tried)?
